While the Normal Route requires no technical climbing skills, reaching the summit demands determination, endurance, and proper acclimatization. Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival to Mendoza.

Transfer to the hotel and welcome dinner.

Day 2. Preparation Day

 Expedition briefing, meet your guides, gear check and equipment rental (if required)

Day 3. Mendoza to Confluencia Camp (3,300 m)

Transfer from Mendoza to Horcones Park Entrance (3-4h) , followed by a 3–4h trek to Confluencia Camp.

Day 4. Acclimatization hike

Walk to Plaza Francia (4,000 m), offering spectacular views of Aconcagua’s
South Face. Return to Confluencia Camp for a second night. Approx. 6 hours.

Day 5. Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4,300 m)

Trek to Plaza de Mulas, the heart of the Aconcagua expedition, 8h.

Day 6. Acclimatization in Plaza de Mulas

Rest day.

Day 7. Camp 1 (5000m)

Ascent to Camp 1 and sleep in Plaza de Mulas.

Day 8. Acclimatization day in Plaza de Mula

Rest day.

Day 9. Camp 1 (5,000 m):

Move to Camp 1 and overnight there. Approx. 3–4h.

Day 10. Rotation to Camp 2 (5,500 m)
Day 11. Camp 2 (5,500 m)

Move to Camp 2 and overnight there. Approx. 3–4h

Day 12. Camp 2

Rest and acclimatization day.

Day 13. Camp 3 (6,000 m)

Ascent to Plaza Cólera, the highest camp on the Normal Route. Approx. 3–4h.

Day 14. Summit Day (6,962 m)

Summit push on Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas. Return to Plaza Cólera. Approx. 12–14 hours.

Day 15 & 16. Contingency Days

Reserved for additional acclimatization, weather delays, or summit opportunities if conditions require flexibility.

Day 17. Plaza de Mulas

Descent from the high camps back to base camp for a well-earned rest.

Day 18. Return to Mendoza

Trek from Plaza de Mulas to Horcones and transfer back to Mendoza.

Day 19. Departure

Transfer to the airport.

  • Private mountain guide (1: 4 ratio) + extra guide on summit day.
  • Aconcagua Park Permit included : Plaza de Mulas access + mountain rescue .
  • All expedition equipment: tents, stoves, kitchen gear, VHF radio, first aid kit.
  • Mule transport (30kg per person) + 1 porter per 4 clients for moving common camp gear (tents, fuel, stoves, food).
  • Private transfers Mendoza Airport in/out, transfers to the mountain and back to Mendoza.
