Itinerary

DAY 1 - Arrival to Kathmandu

Landing in Kathmandu and transferring to the Hotel, is the beginning of a life-changing adventure!

The capital of Nepal is a vibrant and alive city. We will be staying in Thamel, a popular tourist destination with stores and temples on every corner. Spend the time renting or purchasing any last-minute equipment, going for a stroll and exploring the neighborhood, or simply unwinding until the welcome dinner.

DAY 2 - Kathmandu-Lukla (2,860m) & Phakding (2,610m)

Distance: 8.2 km
Elevation gained: -250m.

We take off from Kathmandu early in the morning for a 30-minute flight to Lukla, passing over the Khumbu Valley, home to the mighty Sherpa and enigmatic Yeti.

After breakfast and tea in the lodge, we leisurely travel to Phakding, which is surrounded by lush vegetation and breathtaking mountain views. Villages like Phakding are designed in a traditional Nepalese style that lends the tourist settlements a special architectural appeal.

DAY 3 - Phakding (2,610m) & Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Distance: 7.4km
Elevation gained: 830m.

Today marks our entry into the famous Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Yaks will be plentiful as we’ll traverse rivers, valleys, and amazing hanging bridges like the popular Hilary Bridge. You’ll get the first chance to glimpse Mount Everest on a clear day!

We’ll spend two nights in Namche Bazaar, the trail’s happening town, to ensure a smooth journey and adjust your body to high altitude.

DAY 4 - Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Namche is a historic trading hub, well known for its handcrafted yak cheese and butter.  The village continues to uphold its ancient customs, culture, and genuine hospitality, now a major gateway to Everest.

It is home to a large number of eateries and bakeries to enjoy a well-deserved treat. This is your last opportunity to buy any further equipment you might require.

Today we will do an easy acclimatization hike to Everest View Hotel, the highest in the world, you can get a great view of Mount Everest.

DAY 5 - Namche Bazaar (3,440m) & Debuche (3,870m)

Distance: 9.6 km
Elevation gained: 430m.

Today’s hike begins with a six kilometers journey on a pretty simple trail. After that, we climb for three kilometers. You’ll be astounded by the stunning flowering trees, plants, and fauna along the journey.

We pause to explore the enchanted Tengboche monastery. After that, we’ll go downwards to the village of Dibuche where we’ll spend the night in a cozy lodge.

DAY 6 - Debuche (3,870m) & Dingboche (4,243m)

Distance: 9km
Elevation gained: 373m.

After a 6-hour climb with scenic beauty along the way, Ama Dablam’s magnificent shape dominates the horizon.

Pagodas, prayer walls, and stunning painted rock faces flank the path; you might even see little mountain goats there.

DAY 7 - Dingboche (4,243m) & Lobuche (4,940)

Distance: 8.4 km
Elevation gained: 697m.

The day starts descending for two hours before crossing a river and beginning the ascent. We will walk through the memorial tribute to the climbers who lost their lives while attempting Everest.

DAY 8 - Lobuche (4,940m) & Gorak Shep (5,170m)

Distance: 4.3km

We start the day with a 2–3-hour trek that offers wonderful views of Pumori, Nuptse, and Everest. A frozen lakebed now serves as the Gorak Shep village, which was once the base camp. You can feel the altitude and the cold here.

Before sunset, we take an acclimatization hike and retire early to be ready for the next day, which is expected to be fascinating and demanding.

The descent is simple, and you’ll feel your oxygen levels rise. We’ll have breakfast at Gorak Shep and start trekking to our final destination. The main features include landscapes and close-up views of the Khumbu icefall. After lunch at the climber’s base camp, we’ll descend to Kathmandu by helicopter, where you may take the last breathtaking views of the Himalayas before returning to civilization.
