Itinerary

Day 1. Copiapó-Laguna Santa Rosa (3,762m)

Upon arrival in Copiapó, we’ll be tranfered on a 2.5-hour 4×4 to Laguna Rosa. We’ll visit Maricunga Salt Flat and spend the night at the lagoon, surrounded by magnificent mountains.

Day 2. Laguna Santa Rosa

We have a day dedicated to acclimatization to help your body adjust to the altitude.

Day 3. Laguna Santa Rosa- Siete Hermanas (4,700m)- Lag. Santa Rosa

We will continue the acclimatization process by ascending the mountain and then descending back to sleep at the Laguna.

Day 4. Lag. Santa Rosa- Laguna Verde (4,340m)

Transfer to Laguna Verde, it will take us 1.5 h by road.

Day 5. Acclimatization at Laguna Verde
Day 6. Laguna Verde- Ascenso Volcán San Francisco (6,030m)- Lag. Verde

We will drive 1-hour 4×4 transfer to the starting point of the trek at an altitude of 5,500m.

Day 7. Acclimatization at Laguna Verde
Day 8. Lag. Verde- Refugio de Atacama (5,200m)- Refugio Tejos (5,500m)- Laguna Verde

We will arrange a 1-2 hour 4×4 transfer to the Atacama Refuge. As we enter the terrain of sand, snow, and ice, we will hike to the Tejos Hut and then return to sleep at Laguna Verde.

Transfer to the international airport and return home, filled with achievements, memories, and adventures..

Day 9. Rest day at Laguna Verde
Day 10. Lag. Verde- Tejos Hut (5.825m)

We’ll move to the hut and we’ll get ready for the summit push very early in the morning.

Day 11. Tejos Hut- Ojos del Salado Summit (6,893m)- Laguna Verde

We’ll embark on the ascent to the summit of the world’s highest volcano. The final stretch involves a straightforward 30m climb, protected with ropes.

Once at the summit, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of incredible landscapes, lakes, colors, and other volcanoes.

Day 12. Transfer to Copiapó

We will conclude our journey with a delightful farewell by enjoying a bath and a meal or dinner at the marvelous Bahía Inglesa.
